Down here at the pawn shop.

Thu Jul 23, 2009, 9:03 AM
Between the hours of twelve and three in the a.m., I completed my first digital painting, of sorts. This is something of a big step for me, because in the two years I've had my Intuos III tablet, all I've been able to do with it is edit photos, or touch up pencil drawings at most.
But, for some reason last night, I was suddenly blessed with the patience and pen control to finish something actually good. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it looks decent enough. Colouring it was fun, at any rate.

Now let's see if dA likes HTML.

Avast.
I'm Vaughan.
I like film photography.
Even though I'm kind of a noob at it.

I wish I was better at drawing. I'm at the nothalfbad point, but not the worthlookingat point. Photoshop is fun?

I loves me some literature.

im using a lot of different cameras at the moment.
an olympus e-420 is the main digital one i use,
although i'm hoping to upgrade sometime soon.
otherwise i use a number of old minoltas from the 70s and 80s
that used to belong to my parents.
actually, i've been using film more often that digital lately.
what about you kind sir?
what camera do you use?

an olympus OM-20 from the mid-80s. it used to belong to my mother.
(actually in US the model is 'omG', rofl)

I don't really like DSLRs, but I'm lusting after some of the micro4/3 digital rangefinders. (Olympus EP-1, Panasonic Lumix, etc)

That is a damn fine jacket.
I was going to do something similar a few months ago, but I couldn't dye the coat the right colour,

try it out first inside the jacket haha, once the color is right you just have to make the sketch and put it on the canvas, it takes a lil time but it's fun to make.
